Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann is predicting that the upcoming year will be a rough one for companies in the ultra-luxury and supercar businesses.

“We are very cautious for next year,” Winkelmann said. “The Europe crisis is not over.”

Trying to compensate for the slowing of existing markets, Lamborghini has begun opening shop in developing markets in hope of bringing in new buyers. For example, the company opened a second dealership in India this year, where the number of millionaires is expected to double by 2015.

Hong Kong, Singapore and Southeast Asia are other areas where the Italian company hopes to expand.

Introducing the Urus, Lambo’s luxury SUV to market could also help the company make some profits, though a decision on this is still undecided. “To engage in such a project, it’s adding a third model, and for us, this will be a huge step and huge investment.”
